​​Abstract

My senior project is about how cultural, political, and social norms influence female perception of self in the target countries of Namibia, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Venezuela. I have interviewed a professional in my field of study who has produced Virginia, Miami, and New York Fashion Weeks. My research will lead up to a charity fashion show taking place on April 24, 2015 at the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center. Proceeds will benefit student exchange programs at the Global Studies and World Languages Academy at Tallwood High School.
